The Soul of This Journey
GULABI KANTHA ALPINE SUMMIT TREK
Duration: 5 Days / 4 Nights | Trek Difficulty: Moderate | Summit Altitude: 13,056 ft | Region: Yamuna Valley, Uttarakhand
The Rhododendron Ridge of Gulabi Kantha
The Gulabi Kantha Trek is an off-the-beaten-path Himalayan gem nestled in the pristine Yamuna valley of the Garhwal Himalayas. Named "Gulabi" after the lush blooming pink and red rhododendron slopes that carpet the trails in spring, this trail ascends from Hanuman Chatti through ancient deodar woodlands and pristine high-altitude meadows (bugyals). At the summit ridge of 13,056 feet, trekkers are rewarded with spectacular, dramatic 360-degree panoramas of Bandarpoonch (6,316 m), Black Peak (Kalanag), Chaukhamba, and the sacred Yamunotri range.
