The Soul of This Journey
PANGARCHULLA PEAK ALPINE SUMMIT EXPEDITION
Duration: 6 Days / 5 Nights | Trek Difficulty: Challenging (Strong Fitness Required) | Summit Altitude: 15,069 ft (Pangarchulla Peak) | Region: Chamoli, Uttarakhand
The 15,000 ft Fortress of Garhwal
The Pangarchulla Peak Trek is an exhilarating, challenging mountaineering expedition in the Nanda Devi sanctuary perimeter of Uttarakhand. Rising to a soaring altitude of over 15,000 feet, this trek transforms from lush rhododendron and ancient oak canopies into a demanding high-altitude alpine terrain featuring boulder scrambles, knife-edge snowy ridgelines, and steep summit gullies. The reward from the peak is arguably the grandest amphitheater in the Indian Himalayas — close-up, dramatic 360-degree views of Mount Nanda Devi (7,816 m), Dronagiri, Chaukhamba, Hathi-Ghoda, and Kamet.
